Fondée en 2002 par les père et fils Jarrett à Nashville, dans le Tennessee, IMPACT Wrestling (plus anciennement connu sous les noms NWA: Total Nonstop Action, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling) a connu une restructuration conséquente en 2017 lorsque Anthem Sports & Entertainment s'est emparé de 85% des parts dans la compagnie. C'est alors que Dixie Carter, Chairwoman de la compagnie pour près de 14 ans, laissa sa place à Ed Nordholm, le Vice-Président Exécutif d'Anthem.

En décembre 2017, après la rupture du partenariat entre IMPACT Wrestling et la Global Force Wrestling de Jeff Jarrett, Anthem Sports & Entertainment élevèrent Scott D'Amore et Don Callis au rang de Vice-Présidents Exécutifs d'IMPACT Wrestling. Depuis, la compagnie a repris de l'élan et petit à petit regagné du prestige et du momentum, notamment à travers la tenue de ses pay-per-views acclamés par la critique et par le public.

Les deux premières années sous l'ère Anthem ont été, encore une fois, semées d'embûches. Néanmoins, fin 2019, IMPACT Wrestling fait son arrivée sur AXS TV, puisque la chaîne a été acquise par Anthem. Désormais sur un réseau bien plus sûr pour la compagnie, IMPACT ne peut que viser de plus gros objectifs !

2020 commencera avec l'événement Hard to Kill, qui sera une vraie célébration pour IMPACT Wrestling tant elle vit sous ce motto depuis sa genèse.
